As children’s self-confidence grows they are encouraged to try new things, from dressing themselves to art/craft skills, writing/drawing, new words/vocabulary, mathematics and literacy learning. |

Fine motor skills are more developed so skills of cutting out, tracing, copying shapes/numbers/letters and Chinese characters are reinforced daily. Socially, children`s conversational skills are more fluent and imaginative. Teachers share experiences with children and delve into their imaginative world. Children continue to practice parallel play next to peers and also enjoy lots of dress-ups, costume and role-play opportunities. |

Academically, the alphabet is reinforced through letter names and sounds, numbers extend from 1-20 in counting and children begin to write their own names. Learning Centers are in the classroom to reinforce learning through exploration and play/structured activities linked to the monthly topic. Outdoor play and activities such as neighbor-hood walks (air quality/weather permitting) are part of the weekly experiences along with stories, dance and drama, cooking, Kindermusik (See "Our Time" & "Imagine That"), puzzles and mathematics, morning circle, Kung Fu and sport skills and games. |
