School Hours

Ratio/Class size 1:6 adult/child. Availability for 15 children.

The class has one English Teacher and one Chinese Teacher plus one assistant..

Children will move on from CLCB to larger international schools. So we prepare them best across all areas of social, academic and physical development to have a solid foundation of early learning to draw from.

Children remain at school for longer each day and take part in English instruction/activities in the mornings and Chinese each afternoon. 

Children are taught alphabet through both letters and sight word recognition.  Beginning writing is reinforced by writing own names and recognizing classmates names.  Basic Chinese characters are also introduced.

Language sequences such as days of week, months of the year etc are also taught and reinforced. Teachers and children continue to explore numbers 1-20 as well as many other early mathematical concepts relating to length, time, shapes/patterns etc.

Periodic field trips are organized to extend learning outside the classroom environment and allow the children to have more hands-on experiences.
