| Curriculum |
CLCB offers a bilingual program (Mandarin and English) that is theme-based with an emphasis on developing the child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Children learn through daily lessons to communicate in two languages. During their time at CLCB children will develop literacy (speaking, listening, reading and writing), mathematics, personal, social and emotional education, science, art and craft, geography, drama, music, cooking, physical education, ballet and Kung Fu. We also encourage the growth of creative and critical thinking by providing children with the opportunities to observe and ask questions about their world and the world around them. School Environment: At CLCB we have many different cultural backgrounds that nurture growth, responsibility and productivity by sharing these within a positive school-wide atmosphere. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with other students and with staff. We encourage our parents to be actively involved in their children’s learning by volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning fieldtrips and participating in school celebrations. |
